Les Broutards

'Broutards' are the French equivalent of a weaned bull calf to fatten. Limousin bulls come to us after weaning at anything from 4 - 15 months old, weighing from 200 - 400kgs.
They spend the first 3 weeks in our reception shed, during which time they are wormed, vaccinated and blood tested. They are also introduced onto a high protein feed, which is increased over the time so when they 'graduate' to the big boy shed, they are on ad lib feed and hay.
After approximately 90 days with us they move on to their next home.

When we purchased the first French Farm 'Le Chiron' it had 3 brand new buildings- a 180 place cattle building and a hay and a straw building, all complete with solar panels and a very good handling system and Arrowquip race. In total Le Chiron has 300 cattle places.
